GDPR Statement

Why we need your information?

When you purchase a season ticket, gift card, product or make a group booking, as part of the buying and selling process, we temporarily collect the personal details you give us such as your name, address and email address.

In all cases, your information is used to service our obligations to you, such as fulfilling your order; and/or to send information which we believe is of interest. This is done in line with the new General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) 2018.

Marketing from Stockton Bury Gardens Ltd and Stockton Bury Tithe Barn Café Ltd: Only with your explicit permission may we contact you. 

Please note that although the gardens and café are separate companies this policy and the newsletter covers the activities and services of both businesses and for marketing purposes they act as one. 

We never share, sell, rent or lease your details to a third party, unless required to do so in Law.

How do you get my consent?

There are two ways we do this:

  1. When you provide us with personal information to complete a transaction, verify your credit card, place an order, arrange for a delivery or return a purchase, we imply that you consent to our collecting it and using it for that specific reason only.
  2. You submit your details and give your explicit permission to receive marketing and related information through our newsletter sign up. 

How do I withdraw my consent?

If after you opt-in you change your mind, you may withdraw your consent at any time, by contacting us at bookingsstocktonbury@gmail.com or writing to Stockton Bury Gardens Ltd, Kimbolton, Leominster, Herefordshire HR6 0HA. 

Information Requests

You may reasonably ask at any time for information on how we hold your data, and how we use and safeguard it at all times, by emailing bookingsstocktonbury@gmail.com

Disclosure

We may disclose your personal information if we are required by law.

Payment Portal(s):

We accept payment by cheque or via Worldpay. We recommend that you read their privacy policies so you can understand the manner in which your personal information will be handled by these providers.

eMarketing:

Email marketing is typically done in-house using a third party provider of automated marketing software, such as Mailchimp. Please see their Privacy Statement(s) for how they process and handle your data, including its use on our behalf. Newsletters will be sent out via Mailchimp.

Security

To protect your personal information, we take reasonable precautions and follow industry best practices to make sure it is not inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed. However, we cannot guarantee the security of any data that you disclose online and we will not be responsible for any breach of security unless this is due to our negligence or wilful default.

Age of Consent

By signing up for our newsletter and services we assume that you are over 18.  We understand this is enough to conform to the enhanced requirements under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Changes in policy

We reserve the right to modify this privacy policy at any time.
