Restaurant

The Tithe Barn Restaurant serves traditional farmhouse food and uses produce from the Kitchen Garden and farm as well as other quality local ingredients. We offer a choice of vegetarian and meat dishes.

Group bookings

Groups and coach parties are welcome by prior arrangement. If a party has a minimum of 20 members then gardens and restaurant can be requested to   open out of hours.

  

As all food is freshly prepared all menu choices must be confirmed either   in writing or by telephone a minimum of seven days in advance. Please state the time you require your food to be served when confirming your order (8pm latest).

We are not licensed; however you are welcome to bring your own wine and   we are happy to provide glasses if required. We do not charge corkage.

Sample menu

Caramelised Onion and Goat’s Cheese Tart (v)

Cheese pastry topped with caramelised onions, double cream, eggs, goat’s cheese and sage. Served warm with a full mixed salad.

Apricot, Pork & Chicken Mittoon

A terrine of pork, chicken fillets, pistachio nuts, brandy and apricots, wrapped in smoked bacon. Served cold with a full mixed salad and a home-made red onion marmalade. 

Home-cooked honey and mustard glazed ham

Gammon, prepared with herbs and spices and coated with a honey and mustard glaze before being baked and hard carved. Served cold with a full mixed salad.

Poached Fillet of Salmon

Fillet of salmon, poached in white wine vinegar and fresh herbs. Served chilled with a tarragon mayonnaise dressing and a full mixed salad.
